Welcome to Vintage Plant
Here you can buy and sell plants with a history; second-hand plants that need a new home or third-generation cuttings with an old family-tree. Instead of throwing an old and tired plant in the bin you can come to us and we will try to find it a new home. This website is about the stories plants can tell us, how they have followed us through our lives and experienced good and bad times. We usually don´t see them as valuable but some have been in families for generations and have been passed on like family treasures. This project aims to give the plants some deserved recognition. Our plant´s journeys will be traced and written down for you to view on this website. By doing this we aim to create a library of plant stories. You are very welcome to add a plant to the network at one of our makets our shop! Vintage Plant was initiated and founded in May 2006 by Byggstudio. How it works - buy, give, exchange If you wish to add a plant to the network you can bring it to one of our markets or shop. You then have to fill out a registration form where you tell the plant´s background story and instructions on how to take care of it. This will be filed in our archive and the plant will be given a number. If you want to buy a plant from our collection you have to sign a contract where you promise to update us on the plant´s future life. That means to send us a few words once or twice a year and give us a small report. You then get a copy of the plant´s backgruond story to bring home with you. It´s also possible to exchange one of your plants with one from our vintage plant collection.We very much appreciate to get pictures from the plants´former and future lives.
