David and his band Cut City played a consert in Copenhagen in the winter 2007, it was at a classic rock venue called “Stengade”. His girlfriend Caroline was hanging out in the backstage room when she saw the mother of this plant standing in a corner. She thought it looked interesting with its purple leaves and ”stole” a cutting. They brought it with them home to Malmö and because it is such a fast grower they now have many plants. They have at least five in their apartment and two is standing at their little record store at Möllan in Malmö.
