Caroline Andersson, Malmö, SWEDEN
I found the post-traumatized plant in the beginning of April 2005 on the location of a performance theater play, The Black Rose Trick in Malmö, a month after the play was over. It had been left to dry out in the backstage kitchen on the second floor in the big house on Suezgatan 11. Dryed out and pale I took it back home. Sadly it hasn't recovered that well. What its role in the play was is uncertain, as I can't remember any plants. The scenographer Amanda Wickman has later told me that the plant was rejected by the artistic leader Signa Sørensen because it didn't fit in the plays estetic look, that was "bleek." It was Amanda that found the plant in a container outside the house, so it has prbably been an office plant before. The plant still suffers from the traumatic stay in the house and it needs someone tohat doesn't keep it in the dark. It needs to once and for all get an improtant place in someones house.
