Waxflower
Cut September 2006
3rd
Hanna Nilsson, Copenhagen, DENMARK
Hanna´s mother rescued the original mother plant from the garbage room at her workplace 31 years ago. It had been thrown out from the flowershop next door. The plant lived in Gårdstånga, out in the countryside in Skåne for some years before it moved to a village called Sandby and stayed there for 14 years. After another 10 years in Lund Hanna got a cutting and brought it to Copenhagen in 2003. It stood in her kitchen window and was left there when she moved to Stockholm in the fall 2003. When returning to Copenhagen in September 2005 Hanna didn´t expect the plant to live at all as it had lived with three different tenants in two years. But it was well and alive although it hadn´t grown very much. Now it seems happier than ever and the cutting which is for sale was taken in May 2006. When blossoming it has big white flowers but it has now been a year (2005) since the last time.
